Awards will be made for best film, best documentary, best drama, best animation and best music video in each section.

Entry Fee is $20 for 1 category and $5 for each extra category (Closing date - 3rd September).
For Schools - $20 for the first film from the school and $5 per film thereafter. Email for a waiver code for entries after the first if using WithoutABox including first film name and school name (Closing date - 1st October).
Early bird entry fees of $15 (plus $5 for every each extra category) apply for entries received before July 23rd.
A $10 fee applies for late entry (No later than 1st October 2010) or $25 for the special extended deadline (8th October) available only through WithoutABox.
DECLARATION

I/we have read the conditions of  entry and agree to abide by all the conditions. I/we accept that the decision of the judges is final.
I/we are the copyright holder/s of the film and/or have the necessary copyright permissions.
I/we give the Mandurah Short Film Festival Committee the right to exhibit my film during the
Mandurah Short Film Festival.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO MANDURAH SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

  • entries for the competition need not be produced within the past
    12 months - entrants in other film competitions are eligible.
  • entries may be up to 10 minutes in duration.
  • all visual content must substantially be the work of the entrants.
  • entries in the Seniors section must be substantially the work of a
    person/persons over 55 years.
  • entries in the Secondary School section must be substantially the work of
    students. For Primary School entries, teachers/parents may film and edit
    films but the idea and characters should be the student's.
  • entries must be on DVT or DVD in hard case and labelled with the entrant's
    name, address, phone number and a film title.
  • any copyright consents required for sound and visual materials must be
    obtained by the film maker.
  • films in all schools sections will be suitable for viewing by the age group submitting
    and all other films to be suitable for M rating.
  • FILMS MUST NOT DEPICT SMOKING OR ALCOHOL / DRUG ABUSE
  • films must have appropriate accreditation.
  • each entry must be on a separate official entry form and contain the appropriate
    entry fee for categories entered.
  • Entries by post are to be sent to "Mandurah Short Film Festival"
    PO Box 1212, Mandurah, WA, 6210 by 3rd September, 2010 (1st October for all School sections).
    Late entries (up until 1st October 2010) will attract a $10 late fee.
  • films may be accompanied by a photograph of the entrant/s, a brief synopsis
    and if desired, promotional artwork to be included in the exhibition program.
  • one representative of each film entered in the Festival will be granted
    admission to the Presentation Night.
  • the organisers reserve the right to omit any film entered from the exhibition.
  • entrants who wish to have films returned must include a self-addressed padded
    envelope with sufficient pre-paid postage.
  • entrants accept that the judge's decision is final.
  • prizes allocated to a section may be reviewed if there are less than 5 entries for that section.

Prizes are awarded to each category with major prizes in the past including a video
camera, Apple Mac computer, editing software, FTI course enrolments and many more!!!
